Managing the Online Learning Experience
In this module, we'll explore basic principles of managing online learning, whether you teach in a fully online classroom or in a blended learning experience. Depending on your teaching context, you'll find that your management needs may vary. Therefore, we will first investigate the models of virtual schooling that are available to students, and have you identify what type of particular classes you are teaching. Management can cover many topics. Some of these include aspects such as time management, how to create a climate that supports learning, establishing expectations and communication rules for your class, student accountability, and more. We will also discuss research-based management strategies for your unique teaching context, and begin a management plan that highlights your plan for parent communication, a time management schedule, and netiquette expectations for students.
